On those dates, you can purchase these items free of Florida state sales tax:
– Clothing, footwear and accessories priced at $100 or less per item.
– School supplies priced at $50 or less per item.
– Computers and computer-related accessories priced at $1,500 or less per item. Does not include items purchased for business or commercial use.
Many stores will be having special back to school sales on eligible items in conjunction with the sales tax holiday. Walmart, Target, Belk, Shoe Station, Famous Footwear, Dillard’s, Kmart, Sears, JCPenney, Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Marshalls, Kohl’s, Old Navy, Best Buy, Office Depot, Office Max, and Staples have frequent tax free weekend sales and back to school tax holiday promotions.
