Don’t miss the Ohio Sales Tax Holiday when doing your back-to-school shopping. The tax free weekend takes place over 3 days:
Friday, August 4
Saturday, August 5
Sunday, August 6
On these dates, you can purchase these items free of Ohio state sales tax:
– Clothing and footwear priced at $75 or less per item. Excludes athletic or protective footwear or clothing and accessories (jewelry, handbags, luggage, umbrellas, wallets, and watches.)
– School supplies priced at $20 or less per purchase
– School instructional materials priced at $20 or less per purchase
Many stores will be having special back to school sales on eligible items in conjunction with the sales tax holiday. Walmart, Target, Belk, Neiman Marcus, Famous Footwear, Sears, JCPenney, Kohl’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Marshalls, Best Buy, Office Depot, Office Max, and Staples have frequent tax free weekend sales and back to school tax holiday promotions.
