Yes, 2020 is a leap year! Saturday, February 29 is just around the corner. Believe it or not, Leap Day has become a promotional “holiday” at some stores and shopping malls. Many locations will be having “2 for $29” sales on this day. Special Leap Year or Leap Day menu items are being offered at several restaurants. Buy One Get One Free deals and outright freebies will be found in many places. All you have to do is find them! Here’s a start:

7-Eleven is offering whole pizzas for $2.29! Order in-store and for delivery via the 7NOW deliver app. Available 2/29 only.

Casey’s General Store is celebrating Leap Week with a half price pizza deal. Buy any large Casey’s Pizza at regular menu price, get a second at 50% off. Available 2/24-29.

Legal Sea Foods is featuring 2 lobsters and 2 side dishes for just $29. “An extra day, an extra lobster!” Available 2/29 only.

Miami Grill is offering FREE Fish Pitas to those born on February 29th? Not your birthday? You can still get a Fish Pita for just $4.99. Available 2/29 only.

Miller’s Ale House gives you FREE dessert! Enjoy a complimentary Captain Jack’s Buried Treasure with a February 29th birthday and minimum $10 purchase. Available 2/29 only.

Olive Garden has 4 FREE Dolicinis for those born on February 29. Plus, everyone gets $2.29 entrées to take home. Available 2/29 only.

Texas Roadhouse is offering a FREE Cactus Blossom or Fried Pickles appetizer with any adult entrée purchase. Available 2/29 only.

White Castle has 10 Original Sliders for $10.99 when you order online or via the White Castle app on your phone. Available 2/26-29.

Facebook is a good source of 2/29 deals being offered by your local merchants. Just check their pages to find plenty of “29” promotions and similar offers! Be watching for special Leap Day sales and deals, online or while you’re “running the streets” around town. Several restaurants are offering free meals to Leap Year babies on February 29th. But Houlihan’s is offering Leaplings a full 29 days of free food!

If you have a Leap Year Day birthday, be sure to stop in for your free entrée. While you’re there, you will be given 28 additional free entrées to be used on a future visit within the next 28 days. This gives you 29 days of free lunch or dinner at Houlihan’s. Leaplings deserve a special treat. After all, your birthday only happens once every 4 years, so make the most of it!
