Arby’s Crispy Fish Sandwich needs no introduction. This one shows up every year between Lent and Easter Sunday. For 2025, they’ve brought it back early! Wild-caught Alaskan Pollock, crispy-fried to golden-brown perfection. Topped off with tartar sauce and shredded lettuce, served on a sesame seed bun.

The Crispy Fish Sandwich is now part of Arby’s 2/$6.99 Surf & Turf Menu, along with Arby’s Beef ‘n Cheddar. Current menu price in my area is $5.19 Fish ‘n Cheddar, $4.89 Crispy Fish, and $5.39 Beef ‘n Cheddar. Needless to say, this is a great deal.

Once again this year, Arby’s is also offering their Fish ‘N Cheddar sandwich, topped with zesty melted cheese. It disappeared a few years ago, but returned for last year’s Lent season. Enjoy a Crispy Fish Sandwich or Fish ‘n Cheddar Sandwich for just $3.50 when you take advantage of the 2/$6.99 Surf & Turf Menu. If you’re not a fish lover, Arby’s Classic Beef ‘n Cheddar is also available at the same price. Available at participating locations. Most Arby’s restaurants will be closed Easter Sunday, April 20.

50% Off Half Price Valentine’s Day Candy Discounts

There are 4 times per year to buy candy: immediately after Valentine’s Day, Easter Sunday, Halloween, and Christmas. Hershey, Nestle, Mars, and Wonka all create special holiday candy assortments. Packaging makes it unique to each particular holiday. After the holiday, this candy cannot be sold at full price because the packaging is now outdated. It cannot be saved and resold the following year because it would become inedible long before then. This is why Valentine’s Day candy is discounted significantly, beginning on February 15.

After Valentine’s Day, candy discounts of 50% are common. Walmart, Target, Kmart, and Walgreens are good national sources. Target usually starts at 30%, but eventually gets to 50 and finally 70% in the final days. I’ve also found Kroger family stores to offer half price Halloween candy: Dillons, Fred Meyer, Fry’s Food Stores, QFC, Ralphs, Smith’s, Baker’s, City Market, Food 4 Less, Foods Co., Gerbes, Jay C Food Stores, King Soopers, Owen’s, and Pay Less Super Markets. If these retailers exist in your area, RiteAid, CVS Pharmacy, Cub Foods, A&P, Albertsons, Publix, Safeway/Von’s, Osco/Jewel, and Cashwise/Coborns are also worth a shot.

Be quick to take advantage of half price Valentine’s Day candy sales! The “good stuff” always sells out within a few days. Come early and you’ll find Reese’s Peanut Butter Hearts, Baby Ruths, Kit Kats, Twix, Snickers, and Milky Way for 50% off. Wait too long and there will be nothing left besides leftover cards and junk that nobody wants. February 15th is prime time for half price Valentine’s Day candy deals.

Runza Temperature Tuesdays

Temperature Tuesdays, everybody’s favorite Runza promotion, has returned for 2025! The temperature at 6AM is the price you will pay for an Original Runza Sandwich on that day. Just purchase medium fries and a medium drink to qualify for this deal. If the temperature at the coldest Runza location is 25 degrees, your sandwich is just 25 cents. 11 degrees? You pay 11 cents! When it’s 0 degrees or below, your Original Runza Sandwich is FREE!

As of 6:00AM on Tuesday, January 28, Runza’s official low temperature was 15 degrees. That means your Original Runza Sandwich is just 15 CENTS when you also purchase medium fries and a drink. You gotta love these cold temps!

Temperature Tuesdays is in effect through January 28, 2025 at participating locations. Daily price determined by the official temperature at 6:00AM on that specific date. Most Runza restaurants will be open regular hours on Presidents Day (Monday, February 17.)

Rubio’s 99 Cent National Fish Taco Day
