– School supplies priced at $50 or less per item.
– Learning aids and jigsaw puzzles priced at $30 or less
– Computers and computer-related accessories priced at $1,500 or less per item. Does not include items purchased for business or commercial use.

Many stores will be having special back to school sales on eligible items in conjunction with the sales tax holiday. Walmart, Target, Belk, Shoe Station, Famous Footwear, Dillard’s, Kmart, Sears, JCPenney, Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Marshalls, Kohl’s, Old Navy, Best Buy, Office Depot, Office Max, and Staples have frequent tax free weekend sales and back to school tax holiday promotions.

– Clothing priced at $100 or less per article.
– School supplies priced at $20 or less per purchase.

– Clothing priced at $125 or less per article.
– School supplies priced at $50 or less per item.
– School instruction materials priced at $20 or less per item.
– Laptop and tablet computers priced at $500 or less per item.
– Sports equipment priced at $150 or less per item.

Special athletic or protective clothing or footwear, and accessories (jewelry, purses, luggage, umbrellas, wallets and watches) are not included in the sales tax holiday. Items purchased for use in a trade or business are also excluded.
