On these dates, you can purchase these items free of Ohio state sales tax:
– All tangible personal property that is $500 or less except watercraft or outboard motors required to be titled, motor vehicles, alcoholic beverages, tobacco and vapor products, or items which contains marijuana.
Many stores will be having special back to school sales on eligible items in conjunction with the sales tax holiday. Walmart, Target, Belk, Neiman Marcus, Famous Footwear, Sears, JCPenney, Kohl’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Marshalls, Best Buy, Office Depot, Office Max, and Staples have frequent tax free weekend sales and back to school tax holiday promotions.
