This archived Memorial Day promotion was active previously but has NOT been confirmed for 2024. I will keep watching to see if it or a similar offer returns. As soon as I receive further information, this page will be updated. Be sure to check back often!
There are 5 times each year to buy potato chips: the week before Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas/New Year’s. Many stores will sell chips at or below cost during these times. The purpose is to get you into the store where they hope you will then purchase all your other holiday groceries and party items from them.
Family Dollar has Lay’s chips in the standard 9.5-10.5 ounce bag for just $2.00 each. According to the ad, there doesn’t appear to be a limit on these. This would be a good time to stock up for summer cookouts, making sure of course that you have enough to last until the week before the 4th of July!
Offer valid May 26-June 1, 2013 at participating locations. Most Family Dollar stores will be open regular sale hours on Father’s Day (Sunday, June 16) and open holiday hours on Independence Day (Thursday, July 4.)
