Ohio Sales Tax Holiday Free Weekend

Don’t miss the Ohio Sales Tax Holiday when doing your back-to-school shopping. The tax free weekend takes place over 3 days:

Friday, August 7
Saturday, August 8
Sunday, August 9

On these dates, you can purchase these items free of Ohio state sales tax:

– Clothing and footwear priced at $75 or less per article.
– Clothing accessories and equipment priced at $75 or less per item.
– School supplies, school art supplies, and school instructional materials priced at $20 or less per item.

Many stores will be having special back to school sales on eligible items in conjunction with the sales tax holiday. Walmart, Target, Belk, Neiman Marcus, Famous Footwear, Sears, JCPenney, Kohl’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Marshalls, Best Buy, Office Depot, Office Max, and Staples have frequent tax free weekend sales and back to school tax holiday promotions.

4th of July Appliance Electronics Sales

If you’re in the market for new home electronics or appliances, 4th of July Weekend is typically one of the best times of the year for appliance and electronics sales. 2026 is no exception. Washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges, microwaves, refrigerators/freezers, flat screen LCD/LED/plasma TVs, and gaming consoles will all be offered at discounted prices.
