Texas Sales Tax Holiday Free Weekend

Don’t miss this year’s Texas Sales Tax Holiday when doing your back-to-school shopping. The tax free weekend takes place over 3 days:

Friday, August 11
Saturday, August 12
Sunday, August 13

On these dates, you can purchase these items free of Texas state sales tax:

– Clothing and footwear priced at $100 or less per article. Excludes accessories, athletic or protective clothing, and rentals of clothing or footwear.
– Backpacks priced at $100 or less, used by elementary or secondary school students.
– School supplies priced at $100 or less per item.

Many stores will be having special back to school sales on eligible items in conjunction with the sales tax holiday. Walmart, Target, Belk, Shoe Station, Famous Footwear, Dillard’s, Sears, JCPenney, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Marshalls, Best Buy, Office Depot, Office Max, and Staples are all good bets for tax free weekend sales and special back to school tax holiday promotions.

Be sure to take advantage of the Texas Sales Tax Holiday and back-to-school tax free weekend: August 11-12-13, 2023.

Maryland Sales Tax Holiday Free Weekend

Don’t miss this year’s Maryland Sales Tax Holiday when doing your back-to-school shopping. Unlike most states where the tax free weekend lasts only a few days, Maryland’s tax holiday continues for an entire week!

On these dates, you can purchase these items free of Maryland state sales tax:

Clothing and footwear priced at $100 or less per item. Accessories such as jewelry, watches, watchbands, handbags, handkerchiefs, umbrellas, scarves, ties, headbands, and belt buckles are excluded.

Many stores will be having special back to school sales on eligible items in conjunction with the sales tax holiday. Walmart, Target, Belk, Neiman Marcus, Famous Footwear, Dillard’s, Sears, JCPenney, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Marshalls have frequent tax free weekend sales and back to school tax holiday promotions.

Cub Foods Minnesota State Fair Discount Tickets

INFLATION ALERT: the Minnesota State Fair discount admission price has increased from $14 to $15 for 2023. Also, the 25 ride and game credits price has increased from $15 to $20.

If you’re attending the Minnesota State Fair, don’t pay full price at the gate! Get your advance discounted Minnesota State Fair tickets at Cub Foods stores, July 16th through August 23rd.

– Save $3 on Pre-Fair Discount Admission tickets, just $15.00. Valid for any 1 day gate admission, any age. Not valid for parking. Children age 5 and under receive free admission. Limit 24 tickets per customer.

– Purchase a card of 25 Midway/Kidway ride and game credits for only $20.00. Valid all 12 days of the Fair for any game or ride on the Mighty Midway or Kidway. Most rides require 4-6 tickets, games 1-4 tickets. Limit 10 cards per customer.

– Get a Blue Ribbon Bargain Book for just $5.00. Valid all 12 days with discounts on food, merchandise and attractions. Limit 10 books per customer.

The 2023 Minnesota State Fair dates are Thursday, August 24 through Labor Day Monday, September 4. Don’t miss 12 days of fun and Grandstand entertainment at this year’s Minnesota State Fair.
