New Jersey Sales Tax Holiday Free Weekend

Don’t miss this year’s New Jersey Sales Tax Holiday when doing your back-to-school shopping. Unlike most states where the tax free weekend lasts only a few days, New Jersey’s tax holiday continues for 10 consecutive days:

Monday, August 28
Tuesday, August 29
Wednesday, August 30
Thursday, August 31
Friday, September 1
Saturday, September 2
Sunday, September 3
Monday, September 4

On these dates, you can purchase these items free of New Jersey sales tax:

– Computers priced at $3,000 or less per item.
– School computer supplies priced at $1,000 or less per item.
– School supplies.
– School art supplies.
– School instructional materials.
– Sport or recreational equipment sold to individual purchasers for non-business use.

Many stores will be having special back to school sales on eligible items in conjunction with the sales tax holiday. Walmart, Target, Belk, Neiman Marcus, Famous Footwear, Dillard’s, Sears, JCPenney, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Marshalls have frequent tax free weekend sales and back to school tax holiday promotions.

Mississippi 2nd Amendment Hunting Sales Tax Holiday

Don’t miss this year’s Mississippi Second Amendment Sales Tax Holiday when shopping for hunting supplies. The Second Amendment tax free weekend takes place over 3 days:

On these dates, sportsmen and women can purchase virtually any item for use during the upcoming hunting season and pay no Mississippi state or local sales tax! Includes bows, arrows, clothing, tree stands, knives, decoys, binoculars and range finders, scopes, GPS, hearing protection, holsters, belts, and slings.

Many hunting supply stores will be having special sales on eligible items in conjunction with the Mississippi Second Amendment Sales Tax Holiday. Walmart, Academy Sports + Outdoors, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Sports Authority, Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s, Gander Outdoors, and Primos Hunting have frequent 2nd Amendment tax free weekend sales and special sportsman tax holiday promotions.

On these dates, you can purchase these items free of Texas state sales tax:

– Clothing and footwear priced at $100 or less per article. Excludes accessories, athletic or protective clothing, and rentals of clothing or footwear.
– Backpacks priced at $100 or less, used by elementary or secondary school students.
– School supplies priced at $100 or less per item.

Many stores will be having special back to school sales on eligible items in conjunction with the sales tax holiday. Walmart, Target, Belk, Shoe Station, Famous Footwear, Dillard’s, Sears, JCPenney, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Marshalls, Best Buy, Office Depot, Office Max, and Staples are all good bets for tax free weekend sales and special back to school tax holiday promotions.
